IoA News

Everquest

Well not entirely........We started raiding some small targets again. Anguish Mini's, Epics, DoN. We attempted Warden Hanvar this week but just did not have the DPS to take him down. IoA is pleased to announce the arrival of a few new Officers! Kaija and Cleara will be taking over recruitment, they have already scored us some great new talent! Heftee (formally knows as Sadwanderer) Will be taking over as our Raid Leader / Strats Officer. I know they both will do a fabulous job! If you are interested in joining Illusion of Apathy please send a tell to Kenaf, Debjorn, Kaija or Cleara. Fill out an app while you wait. You can email Kenaf at kenaf@illusionofapathy.net We are looking forward to some great raids coming up soon!

World of Warcraft

Illusion of Apathy is also proud to announce our partner in World of Warcraft. Gwendle the former leader of the Everquest side of IoA has now taken things to WoW. For more information please send a tell to Osire.

IoA News I have decided to come back to IoA and make it something again.

I have learned alot while away with Sojo and my own guild but this is where I call come.

I have invited a long time member Debjorn to command IoA at my side.

I would love to see some older members like Debjorn return to IoA.

We will be rebuilding IoA from the ground up. All of the old stuff will be thrown out and new policies will be implemented.

Our primary focus for the next few months will be rebuilding, after that I will start raiding 1-2 times a week starting back at DoN, Anguish.

I realize people do not have time to commit to 3-4 days a week like myself but I think we can make something for ourselves again.

IoA was a top 5 guild on Cazic and hope to make it back up there someday.

If you are interested in being a part of the new Illusion of Apathy please send a tell to Kenaf or Debjorn.

We will also be looking for an officer crew. This is a good time to join a re-building guild with high aspirations.

IoA News Illusion of Apathy is currently looking for members of all classes to join our ranks. At this point we are not a raiding guild, we are only looking for casual players that are interested in grouping together for the purpose of leveling, questing and good old fashion fun.

There is no commitment required, and no pressure to play when you don't want to. If you are level 70+ and are tired of feeling like this game is a job then please feel free to post a app here or send me a message in game. There will be no app period or no minimum AA requirements to join. The enjoyment of playing has been lost for a lot of people and hopefully we can bring that back.

Have a great day and hope to hear from you soon.

Xaldarenn

IoA News On Monday February 4th, 2008 Our guild...Illusion of Apathy will be merging with Sojourners.

Our guild has been in existance for well over 6 years. It was formed by a group of friends looking for an easier way to communicate while farming Sebilis for gems. Saphfyre, Sike , Dakonn , myself and a few other close friends were among those to 1st bare the IoA tag.

Within one week, we had 10-20 new people join the guild, and within the month, we had over 50 regular members. Now we needed to find things to raid.

Our server back then was full of guilds around the same level/strength as ours. Bloodsguard, Council of Grey, Second Age. SS/DA, EoD and TR were ripping up the server . Sleepers Tomb keys were high priority, clearing NToV was a big deal, and Luclin was endgame!

I dont want to drag on and on..most of us who were apart of IoA then would prob tell you that those were some of the best times any of us ever had playing the game. The bonds among friends back then meant alot more than they do now. Alot of us still carry that friendship today.

Some people really made this guild special. They gave us our identity and poured blood sweat and tears for us for YEARS.

Saph, Sveva , Hotspot -- our lovely leading female cleric-ladies who always brought a little bit of class to a guild full of well, classless , dirty men.

Manadar..anyone who is or was IoA, probably knows that name, wether he was active or not at the time. Lets just say, he had character.

Some of our oldest, most loyal members, still tagged to this day after 5-6 years with IoA proudly above there heads. Lortan, Comodo (Tirean) , Bamaden , Kenaf, Xaldarenn , and Chronopolis. I love you all and cherish your friendship and loyalty more than you could ever know.

Some honourable mentions - Tigers, Sellen/Ceedora , Eani , Shazwauza , Tannus, Darnir , Calhin , Debjorn , Eslade, Dank , Angelinwaiting , Unclefairy , Elenii , Judicus , Kronas , Hideto , Kuryl , Fanorn , Wegarm , Kbad , Gandy and Yildi . You guys all made my experiance as a guildleader, and a EQ player much more fun. Never a job with any of you, i enjoyed your company and your friendships thouroughly.

As Illusion of Apathy takes its next step in merging with Sojo, i want to honour the past by embraceing the future. I hope that our new home allows us to continue our friendships, and make new ones. This new chapter will hopefully revive a common problem across the server, in that the amount of people on the way out of eq > the number of those incoming. I want to wish the best for everyone.

I hope everyone can remember the good times they had while a member of this guild. I always tried to run this guild as fair as i could, and with the belief that a family guild could also be a successfull raiding one. I ran this guild with passion, and with nothing but the best intentions for all of its members. I learned alot of RL lessons as a part of IoA, and i like to think i had a positive impact on many of you as well.

The last thing i ask of my members as your guildleader... is to remember what made u IoA. Good luck .

Here are some fond memories of IoA!

I would also like to add:

I have put my heart into this guild for 4 years, I have seen many friends come and go.

I really do hope and wish the best for all members of IoA near and far. With this merge we will be marking a new era in IoA history.

Illusion of Apathy will be around, the site will stay up and your welcome to park your bots / alts here.

If you should decide that Sojourners is not the place for you then you are welcome to stay or find somewhere to call home.

I wish the best of luck to everyone as we move forward into a new chapter.

IoA News

New Farming Mobs!

Tuesday night the crew decided to spend a fun night in a new zone that is normally not on our list of things to do. We started with Vertekin the Soothsayer. The mob was pretty easy, however Lugnah the Arcane did not take long reminding us how we underestimated him. Second round we wiped the dirt off and went back to doing what we do right, killing him. We ended up wrapping the up the night with some new items for a two deserving people Not a bad day for only 19 people!

Several items dropped that night.

Gratz:

Wedyinx: Mantle of Nodgha

Quadin: Call of Clan Vorzek

With winter coming and school starting IOA is looking to hit Demi-Plane really hard and fast with another guild striving for the same goal to end 2007. We had a great summer entering Demi, backflagging Demi, Killing PoR Dragons, Porth and slaughtering Anguish. We have a great crew lined up for Demi and a new vision for the Guild. We are always looking for more people, if you feel you can keep a raid schedule and are 70+ with a great attitude and a consistent raid schedule...Fill out and app, send a tell to a friend, member or officer..........We are having some open Anguish Raids still and would love to see what you can do!

There are MANY new faces of IoA, we lost a few core people but we gained some GREAT ones. As far as the rest.....Kenaf came back. Ailyei, and Kenaf all stepped up to fill some needed officer spots. Meanwhile Gwendle is taking some time off to start school again.

Things will be hard without Gwendle around but like IOA always does we shall prevail. We have a great crew lined up for Demi.

IoA News

Denizens of the Demi-Plane beware!!! IoA defeated the Sisters event in Demi-Plane for the first time this week. Hatchet, Redfang and even Mayong Mistmoore have taken notice of our presence; and tremble at our coming.

IoA is currently looking for dedicated and motivated individuals to join our guild. If you enjoy raiding and are looking to progress, as well as make new friends, please contact Ceedora or Tigers in game and post an application here on our website. Must enjoy moonlight walks on the beach, Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. A love of having fun is also a plus!
